Keeping in view the heavy rains in various parts of Himachal Pradesh, the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation has advised the tourists to travel safely while planning their visit to the hilly state.
Amit Kashyap, Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation said that in the last 24 hours Himachal Pradesh has witnessed heavy rain and there are incidents of landslides on different routes leading to tourist destinations. Therefore, the tourists are advised that before they visit the State, they may first check the website of the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) at hpsdma.nic.in.
Tourists who are already in the State have been advised not to go near the rivers and hill sides.
Tourists have also been advised to get prior information of the tourist places they are visiting about the roads for travelling.
