Havila Voyages has appointed Yorker Holidays as its authorised partner for the distribution of its cruise products in the Indian market. Under the partnership, Yorker Holidays will leverage its extensive B2B network to promote Havila Voyages’ coastal cruise experiences along Norway’s famed coastline.
Havila Voyages operates environmentally focused coastal cruises and is known for its Northern Lights itineraries. A key highlight of the product offering is the company’s Northern Lights Promise, designed to provide reassurance to travellers seeking to witness the aurora borealis during their voyage.
The Northern Lights Promise applies to passengers booked on the 12-day Round Voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes and back, departing between October 1 and March 31. If the Northern Lights do not occur during the voyage, passengers are offered a complimentary second cruise. This includes a choice of either a 6- or 7-day Voyage North from Bergen to Kirkenes or a Voyage South from Kirkenes to Bergen, valid during the following Northern Lights season.
The promise is applicable only if passengers have activated the Northern Lights alert system onboard. The determination of whether a Northern Lights event has occurred is made by the ship, irrespective of weather conditions or actual visibility experienced by guests.
The appointment of Yorker Holidays is expected to strengthen Havila Voyages’ presence in India, catering to growing demand for experiential and nature-led travel among Indian outbound travellers, particularly for destinations such as Norway and the Arctic region.
