The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) has announced its most significant policy dialogue since the pandemic, the FAITH Conclave 2025, scheduled for 12–13 August 2025 at The Taj Palace, New Delhi. Held under the theme “Indian Tourism: Invincible Spirit,” the landmark event aims to unite leaders from government and industry to advance India’s shared vision of becoming a global tourism powerhouse by 2047.

Chaired by Padma Shri awardee Ajeet Bajaj, Vice Chair of FAITH, and co-chaired by Rajiv Mehra, FAITH General Secretary, the conclave draws participation from the full spectrum of India’s travel and hospitality ecosystem. Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO of Indian Hotels Company Ltd., currently serves as Chair of the FAITH Board.

“This Conclave represents a national movement. We are laying the foundation for a $3 trillion tourism economy with 100 million foreign arrivals and 20 billion domestic visits. FAITH 2025 will be the tipping point in our collective journey to Viksit Bharat through tourism,” said Ajay Prakash, Vice Chair, FAITH.

Rajiv Mehra, Co-Chair of the Conclave, added, “We are bringing the government, states, and industry together under one platform to create a powerful, unified tourism vision for India.”

As per the press statement, the FAITH Conclave 2025 will serve as a cornerstone for shaping Tourism@2047, an ambitious roadmap for India’s emergence as a top five global tourism economy.

The two-day dialogue will address key priorities, including defining milestones to achieve a $3 trillion tourism economy, crafting a unified pan-India growth narrative, strengthening Centre-State-Industry collaboration, and implementing urgent measures to boost inbound tourism. Critical policy reforms such as making tourism a concurrent subject in the Constitution, securing export industry status, and rationalising GST across the tourism value chain will also be central to the discussions.

The FAITH Conclave 2025 will also place a strong emphasis on policy-level reforms aimed at unlocking India’s full tourism potential. Key focus areas include developing country-specific inbound strategies to attract high-value travellers, accelerating the growth of rural, wellness, and spiritual tourism circuits, and crafting destination-specific marketing and infrastructure plans to ensure sustainable and inclusive development across diverse regions.

FAITH Conclave 2025 will feature a distinguished lineup of dignitaries and thought leaders from across government and industry, underscoring its status as India’s most influential tourism policy platform. Key speakers include Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Union Minister for Tourism; Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon’ble Minister for DONER; and Rohan Khaunte, Hon’ble Tourism Minister of Goa, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism. The Conclave will also see participation from prominent industry leaders such as Amitabh Kant (Former G20 Sherpa), Puneet Chhatwal (MD & CEO, Indian Hotels Company Ltd.), Rajesh Magow (Group CEO, MakeMyTrip), Pieter Elbers (CEO, IndiGo), Dipak Deva (MD, TCI), Anil Chadha (MD, ITC Hotels), K B Kachru (Chairman Emeritus, Radisson Hotels), and Homa Mistry (CEO, Trail Blazer Tours), among others. Their collective insights and expertise will contribute to shaping a bold, unified vision for India’s tourism future.

FAITH’s structure ensures that every member association, ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, TAFI, has equal representation and voice on the Board, along with cause partner AIRDA, fostering transparent dialogue and collective action.

Echoing the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s G20 message, “Terrorism divides, but tourism unites”, this conclave reaffirms tourism’s role as a powerful unifier for India’s economy, culture and society.
