The much-anticipated Rann Utsav 2024 – The Tent City is set to begin on November 11, 2024, in Kutch, Gujarat. The annual affair, which has placed the Kutch region on the map of global tourism, this year’s event promises a grander, more immersive experience, featuring over 400 luxurious tents and welcoming an expected around 50,000 guests throughout the festival. Kutch is one of the most ecologically and culturally diverse districts in the state, and the Rann Utsav is a vibrant celebration of its art, crafts, music, dance, local traditions and natural beauty.
For the first time, Evoke Experiences will not only operate and manage The Tent City but will also oversee the market, branding, and entertainment services at the renowned Rann Utsav. This expansion marks the beginning of an exciting seven-year partnership, with Evoke Experiences confirmed to manage Rann Utsav’s operations through 2031.
Bhavik Sheth, COO of Evoke Experiences, shared his excitement for this year’s festival, “Rann Utsav 2024 represents a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. We are honored to not only host The Tent City but also manage the market and entertainment services. With our commitment to sustainability and community development, we look forward to making a meaningful contribution to the progress of Dhordo and the Kutch region.”
Held annually in the enchanting Dhordo village, nestled within the expansive Great Rann of Kutch, Rann Utsav has become a globally renowned cultural festival. Dhordo was recently honored with the prestigious “Best Tourism Village” (BTV) by the United Nations, making it the only village in India to receive this accolade. This year’s Rann Utsav will once again serve as a vibrant platform to showcase Kutch’s rich cultural heritage, featuring traditional arts, crafts, music, and local delicacies, offering guests an authentic experience of Gujarat’s cultural richness.
This year, Rann Utsav 2024 places a special emphasis on sustainability. Evoke Experiences is committed to reducing the festival’s environmental footprint, implementing measures such as eco-friendly waste management with sewage treatment plants (STPs), battery-operated vehicles for transportation within the festival grounds, and minimising plastic use, particularly by replacing plastic water bottles with sustainable alternatives. In addition to these green initiatives, Evoke Experiences will undertake a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity similar to its highly successful cleaning drive at Dholavira. This year’s CSR initiative will focus on environmental conservation efforts in the Great Rann of Kutch, ensuring that Rann Utsav not only celebrates culture but also protects the pristine beauty of the White Rann. The Rann Utsav has been instrumental in economically uplifting the local community, which benefits greatly from the influx of tourists during the festival.
With its unparalleled blend of cultural vibrancy, sustainability, and luxury, Rann Utsav 2024 promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for visitors. Evoke Experiences invites travellers from across the world to join in the celebration and create unforgettable memories at the Rann Utsav – The Tent City.
