Ethiopian Airlines, the flag carrier of Ethiopia, has announced the introduction of non-stop flights connecting Hyderabad (HYD) and Addis Ababa (ADD), starting June 16, 2025. This new route is a significant step toward strengthening ties between India and Africa while enhancing the airline’s presence in the Indian subcontinent.
The flights between Hyderabad and Addis Ababa will operate three times a week. Flight ET682 will depart from Addis Ababa at 4:10 p.m. local time and arrive in Hyderabad at 12:40 a.m. the following day, with an expected flight time of six hours. The return flight, ET683, will take off from Hyderabad at 1:55 a.m. IST and land in Addis Ababa at 5:55 a.m. local time, with a flight duration of approximately six hours and 30 minutes. Outbound flights from Addis Ababa will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while return flights from Hyderabad will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The route will be serviced by Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft, which offers a seating capacity of 160 passengers, including 16 business class seats and 144 economy class seats.
