The Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA) has successfully launched its first-ever State Chapter in Tamil Nadu, marking a significant milestone in its expansion efforts across India. The inauguration ceremony, held in Chennai, was attended by esteemed guests, industry leaders, and travel professionals, further strengthening ETAA’s presence in the region.
The event was graced by Venkateshan, Regional Director (Southern Region) of India Tourism, Chennai, as the Chief Guest. Amla Dantas and Carl Dantas, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of ETAA, attended as Guests of Honour, adding to the significance of the occasion.
During the ceremony, ETAA announced the newly appointed office-bearers for the Tamil Nadu Chapter:
- Chairman: P.V. Sharan Kumar
- Secretary: Fathima Bai
- Treasurer: Selvi Grace Jecintha
The event also saw participation from several ETAA National Board Members, including Jagat Mehta – Director and National Board Member, Dipti Pradhan Thakoor – Director, National Board Member, and Event Head, Joyson – National Board Member and Regional Director, South India, and Abhijit Khadilkar – Director, National Board Member, and Membership Head.
With an enthusiastic audience of 50+ attendees, including ETAA members, airline representatives, hoteliers, tourism stakeholders, and members from ETAA Bangalore, the launch event highlighted the strong industry support for ETAA’s expansion.
The launch of the Tamil Nadu Chapter aligns with ETAA’s ongoing mission to empower travel agents, promote tourism, and foster industry-wide collaboration. With this new addition, ETAA continues its journey toward creating a stronger and more connected travel trade network across India.
