Egypt has removed all coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions that were imposed on the entry of Egyptian and foreign arrivals to the country, said Egyptian Cabinet Spokesperson Nader Saad in a statement on Thursday.

The decision was taken during a meeting between Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and the members of the Supreme Committee for the Management of the Epidemiology and Health Pandemic Crisis on Thursday.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Acting Minister of Health Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar reviewed the latest developments in the epidemiological situation locally and globally, Nader said.

About 86.6 million Covid-19 doses of various types were provided to citizens, and 4.5 million booster doses have been provided, Abde-Ghaffar said, adding that current stocks of vaccines are estimated at 57.5 million doses.
