Dr V P Jeyaseelan, IAS, has been appointed as the Director of Tourism, Tamil Nadu, and has also been entrusted with the additional charge of Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC).
A 2014-batch IAS officer, Dr Jeyaseelan previously served as Joint Commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation
Commenting on his appointment, Dr Jeyaseelan said, “I am grateful to Honourable Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru C. Joseph Vijay for the opportunity to serve. In his new role, Dr Jeyaseelan will oversee the state’s tourism development initiatives while also leading TTDC’s efforts to enhance tourism infrastructure, promote destinations and strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position as one of India’s leading tourism destinations.
