Cambodia reduces e-visa fees to boost tourism

In a move aimed at boosting tourism and simplifying entry procedures, the Royal Government of Cambodia has announced adjustments to its electronic visa (e-Visa) system. According to an official press release, relevant ministries and institutions have been instructed to enhance and unify the e-Visa system and e-Arrival system into a seamless, integrated ecosystem. This initiative also includes a reduction in fees for both the e-Visa T (Tourist) and e-Visa E (Ordinary) categories.

The streamlined process and revised fee structure are set to take effect on January 1, 2025. The new fee structure is as follows:

  • e-Visa (T): Reduced from USD 36 to USD 30.
  • e-Visa (E): Reduced from USD 42 to USD 35.

The changes are part of Cambodia’s ongoing efforts to enhance its appeal as a travel destination and foster ease of access for international visitors. By lowering fees and simplifying procedures, the government aims to attract more tourists and business travellers while ensuring an efficient and user-friendly visa application experience.
