Ascott appoints Rohit Dar as Vice President and Head of South Asia

The Ascott Limited has appointed Rohit Dar as Vice President and Head of South Asia, strengthening its leadership team as it accelerates growth across the region.

In his new role, Rohit Dar will lead Ascott’s expansion strategy and business operations across South Asia, focusing on scaling the company’s presence, enhancing performance standards, and strengthening stakeholder partnerships.

With over three decades of experience in the hospitality sector, Dar brings a strong track record across global brands. Prior to joining Ascott, he served as Senior Regional Director of Operations at Hilton India, where he oversaw a multi-brand portfolio across key markets. He has also held General Manager roles with Marriott International, including leadership positions at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace and Jaipur Marriott Hotel, and spent 18 years with The Oberoi Group in various operational and corporate roles.

Ascott continues to expand its footprint across South Asia with a portfolio of brands including Ascott, Somerset, Citadines, Oakwood, and lyf. In India, the company currently operates 985 keys across seven properties in six cities, with a pipeline exceeding 5,000 keys.

The company is also strengthening its presence across both metro and emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, reflecting evolving travel demand and positioning itself for sustained regional growth.
