Air India and Air India Express have announced that they will operate their scheduled services to and from Jeddah and Muscat on March 10, 2026, as airspace over Saudi Arabia and Oman remains open amid the evolving situation in West Asia.

Together, the two airlines will operate 14 flights to and from Jeddah, while Air India Express will operate 14 flights to and from Muscat on the same day.

Air India will operate one round-trip service from Delhi and two round-trip services from Mumbai to Jeddah, while Air India Express will operate one round-trip each from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mangaluru, and Kozhikode to the Saudi city.

For Muscat, Air India Express will operate its scheduled services with one round-trip each from Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli, ensuring continued connectivity between India and Oman.

Additional ad-hoc flights to the UAE

In addition to the scheduled services, Air India and Air India Express will operate 32 ad-hoc non-scheduled flights between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 10, subject to slot availability and operational conditions at the respective airports. These services have been scheduled with the necessary approvals from the Indian and local regulatory authorities.

Air India will operate 10 non-scheduled flights to and from Dubai, including three round-trip flights from Mumbai and two round-trip flights from Delhi. Air India Express will operate one round-trip each to Dubai from Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Air India Express will also operate 18 additional non-scheduled flights to other emirates in the UAE, including one round-trip each to Abu Dhabi from Bengaluru and Mumbai, one round-trip each to Sharjah from Bengaluru and Mumbai, and services to Ras Al Khaimah with one round-trip each from Delhi, Bengaluru and Kochi, along with two round trips from Mumbai.

Temporary suspension of other West Asia services

The Air India Group has also announced that its scheduled operations to and from other destinations in West Asia will remain cancelled until March 13, 2026.

Passengers affected by these cancellations will be able to rebook their travel for a future date at no additional cost or opt for a full refund. Air India passengers can submit rebooking or cancellation requests through the airline’s website or contact the 24×7 customer support hotline.

Air India Express passengers travelling from the UAE will also be able to rebook their tickets without additional charges on the airline’s additional commercial flights from any UAE station to any destination in India.

For example, passengers booked on a cancelled Dubai–Jaipur service may move their booking to a Ras Al Khaimah–Delhi flight at no extra cost.

Air India Express passengers can also rebook their flights through the airline’s AI-powered digital assistant Tia, available on WhatsApp.
