Air India Express has announced the launch of direct flights between Navi Mumbai International Airport and Abu Dhabi, becoming the first airline to commence international operations from Maharashtra’s newest airport.
The new service will begin on July 15, 2026, initially operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays. From July 29, 2026, the frequency will increase to three weekly flights, with an additional Sunday service. Bookings are now open through the airline’s website, mobile app and other major booking channels.
The route provides travellers across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region with a second international gateway to the UAE, enhancing connectivity, convenience and travel choice.
With the introduction of the Abu Dhabi service, Air India Express will operate 30 weekly flights from Navi Mumbai, connecting the airport directly with Abu Dhabi, Bengaluru and Delhi.
The airline continues to strengthen its presence in Maharashtra, operating over 95 weekly flights from Mumbai, more than 100 weekly flights from Pune, and 14 weekly flights from Nagpur.
Air India Express also operates one of the largest India-West Asia networks, connecting multiple Indian cities with destinations across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
