Air France-KLM has announced the appointment of Olivier Piette as Executive Vice-President Strategy & CEO Office, effective February 1, 2026. In this expanded role, Piette joins the Group Executive Committee (GEC) and will continue to report directly to Benjamin Smith, Group CEO.
As part of his new responsibilities, Piette will oversee Strategy, Group Communication, Brand Portfolio Strategy and the Group Network. The appointment is aimed at strengthening alignment between the Group’s long-term strategic planning, global network governance, corporate communications and the consistency of its brand portfolio.

Piette holds an Engineering Master’s degree from Mines de Nancy and brings 24 years of experience with Air France and Air France-KLM. His career spans key functions including Flight Operations, Network Planning, Global Sales and Corporate Strategy. He previously served as Senior Vice-President Network at Air France from 2020 to 2024, before being appointed Chief of Staff to the Group CEO in September 2024.
