Air France–KLM has appointed Laure Daynié as the Country Manager for India and the Indian Subcontinent. Based at the airline’s country office in Gurugram, Laure will oversee operations across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka, succeeding Claude Sarre in the role.
In her new position, Laure will be responsible for strengthening Air France–KLM’s overall presence in the region, with a focus on enhancing customer experience, driving high-yield revenue, reinforcing brand awareness, deepening the codeshare partnership with IndiGo, and advancing the group’s sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility commitments.
During the Winter schedule, Air France–KLM will operate up to 54 weekly departures across four key Indian gateways — Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, with Hyderabad being the most recent addition for KLM. Both airlines have been serving the Indian market for 70 years, underscoring a long-standing partnership with the region. Laure will now lead the commercial strategy to further expand the group’s footprint and engagement in India.
A graduate in Philosophy, Laure began her career with Air France in 2001 in the ground operations department in France and has since held a series of diverse operational and commercial roles across the airline’s network. Her experience spans quality management for the Americas, customer projects at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and leadership of the financial division at Marseille Airport. She also oversaw Air France’s Mediterranean call centres and later served as Country Manager for Senegal and subsequently Country Manager for Lebanon and the Levant region.
In recognition of her professional accomplishments, Laure was honoured as Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Mérite by the French government in 2024. A strong advocate for women’s leadership, she brings over two decades of experience in steering teams across complex and dynamic markets.
Commenting on her new role, Laure Daynié said, “I am very happy to join the India establishment and collaborate with an exceptionally talented and dedicated team. India has huge potential, being one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets. I am confident that with the commitment of our teams and the support of our valued partners, we will continue to strengthen our presence, deliver a seamless and enriching travel experience for our customers, and expand our footprint in the region.”
