Air France-KLM has announced the appointment of Adriaan Den Heijer as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of the Group, effective September 1, 2025. Den Heijer, who currently serves as Executive Vice President of Air France-KLM Cargo, will succeed Angus Clarke and will continue to oversee the Group’s Cargo division until further notice.
In his new role, Adriaan Den Heijer will report directly to Benjamin Smith, CEO of the Air France-KLM Group.

Den Heijer began his career with KLM in 1995 and has held multiple senior positions across commercial, operational, and cargo functions within KLM and Air France-KLM. His previous roles include Director KLM Cargo North and West Europe, General Manager KLM for Greater China, Vice President Pricing & Revenue Management KLM Europe, and Vice President KLM Marketing & Brand. He also served as Senior Vice President KLM Ground Services, overseeing ground operations at Schiphol Airport.
Before his current role in Cargo, he was Senior Vice President Pricing & Revenue Management for Air France-KLM, where he led the development of the Group’s pricing and revenue strategies.
