ADTOI President among panelists at J&K Tourism Workshop in Srinagar; contributes strategies to advance tourism in Kashmir

Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Workshop 2024 ADTOI

The Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir, organised the ‘Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Workshop 2024’ at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar on June 26-27, 2024. The workshop was convened to develop actionable strategies for the advancement of the tourism sector in Jammu & Kashmir.

P P Khanna, President of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), attended the workshop as a panel member, following an invitation from the Director of the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir. Alongside Khanna, Rajat Sawhney, Senior Vice President, and Ashish Sehgal, Vice President of ADTOI, were present as observers, offering valuable insights and inputs towards enhancing the region’s tourism strategies.

In conjunction with the workshop, the ADTOI J&K Chapter office bearers organized a General House Meeting with Khanna. This meeting, held at the SKICC, was also attended by Sawhney and Sehgal. The primary focus of the General House Meeting was to discuss the promotion of Kashmir tourism and explore avenues to connect with ADTOI members across India.

The meeting saw participation from members of the J&K Chapter and heads of various Kashmir associations. Key discussions centred around strategies to increase Kashmir’s visibility as a premier tourist destination and to strengthen the connection with ADTOI members nationwide.
